Halloween Potluck Dinner Recap

There was good food, good costumes, and Rocky Horror. What more could you want?

Zoo Trip

Our trip to the Baltimore Zoo is this Saturday, November 4th. We will be meeting AT 8 AM in the Russell Lot. If you need directions to the Russell Lot please email me (jenp@udel.edu). If you have not paid your $12.75, please contact Danielle as soon as possible (dsmarsh@udel.edu). The list of people going to the Zoo will be attached. We will be taking backstage tours of giraffes, rhino, elephants (or frogs depending on weather), and the vet clinic.

Longwood Gardens

We will be going to Longwood Gardens on Weds, Dec 6th (the last day of class). We have contacted the Longwood Garden Graduate program for a guided tour. If you are interested in attending, please email me and include whether you can drive or not.

Steve Cook

Our service trip to Steve Cook’s farm will be on Saturday, November 18th. We need to be there at 9 AM, so we will probably be leaving a little before 8. We will be getting farrowing crates ready, vaccinating sows, and building a fence. Steve will also help us review judging in preparation for regionals. He will be providing a lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs, so if you are coming and don’t eat those foods, please bring your own lunch. If you would like to come, please email me and include weather you can drive or not.

Amazon Gift Wrapping

Amazon.com is having a gift wrapping event through December. We go to a location in New Castle for a 4 hour shift and are paid per package. We were planning on going on December 3rd, where we would be paid $.75/package. We can go with a maximum of 20 people. The shifts are either 9 to 2 or from 2 to 6, and were are probably going to the morning shift. If you are interested in attending, email Danielle at dsmarsh@udel.edu.

General Announcements

This Friday is HOLAween in the Trabant MPR from 7-12.
